Check in / Check out

Check-in can be as early as 1PM by agreement. Shortly before your arrival, the Innkeeper will contact you to agree a convenient time to check in.

Check-out: 11:00 AM

Late check-in policy: Check-in after 7PM is only permitted by prior agreement with the Innkeeper.

Bag drop / Early check in

We would be delighted to arrange an earlier check or bag drop. Please speak to the Innkeepers to arrange a suitable time.

• We offer a strictly smoke-free Carriage House & Inn and property.


• We are unable to accommodate guests' pets on the property. Please contact the Innkeepers for pet lodging recommendations.


• Use of hair color products on-premises is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to charge for replacements of towels, bathrobes, and linen at replacement cost.


• Disregarding these policies will result in a minimum $200 cleaning fee for materials stained/damaged and extra cleaning to deal with smoking in the accommodation.


• Rooms are strictly single or double occupancy per room, per night. Bookings are non-transferable unless agreed with the Innkeeper prior to your stay.


• Rates do not include state and local room taxes.


• Deposits of 50% of your package are required to secure your reservation.


• Three-night minimum stay applies to all stays in July & August. The rest of the year is a minimum of 2-night stays.


• All rates are based on single or double occupancy.


• Hexagon House & The Carriage House is an adult-only property. Young adults permitted by prior agreement.


• "No calls" & "No shows" will be billed for 100% of the reservation/package.

Cancellation and No-Shows

If a reservation is cancelled less than 14 days prior to arrival, you are responsible for ALL room and package charges for the entire reserved period. If a reservation is cancelled with prior notification of more than 14 days, you will receive a complete deposit refund (less a $35.00 processing fee). Weddings and whole-house rentals carry their own refund policy.

"No calls" & "No shows" will be billed for 100% of the reservation/package.

For reservations for 4 nights or more there is a 30-day cancellation period before the first night's booking stay. Failure not to notify the Innkeeper to cancel before this time will result in a no deposit refund and the full charge for all rooms and nights booked. This policy also applies to reducing your number of nights and/or rooms originally booked.

Key Calendar Holiday Dates

For July 4th, Homecoming & Labor Day weekends we require a 30-day cancellation period on bookings for these dates.

Multi-Room Bookings

• When one party or group books all Hexagon House rooms and/or Carriage House for a special event/wedding, it does not mean its an agreement to book the whole of The Hexagon House property and/or grounds. Only guests who have reserved a room may stay at the property. People invited by guests must be approved by the Innkeepers. Hexagon House is a small Inn and Bed & Breakfast. It is not an Airbnb business.


• If you elect to purchase Travel Protection, our 30-day cancellation policy still stands.


• Thank you for your understanding.

Rate Periods & Room Nights / Special Holiday Weekends

• Labor Day weekend and July 4th Celebration weekends are 3-night bookings with a 30-day notice of cancellation.


• Off-Peak is Opening Season till Father’s Day weekend (June 16th) and after Labor Day weekend (September 5th) to close.


• Peak is June 17th till September 5th inclusive.


• The Innkeeper has sole rights to alter the above from 2 or 3 nights to one night depending on business situation.


• July and August, as high season, is a 3-night booking period only.

Weddings

Use of the Hexagon House and grounds for photography and wedding preparation is reserved for guests who have arranged and paid for a wedding package.

You can arrange to book a photography hour only (pictures in the grounds/house) if you are staying at the Carriage House at The Hexagon House, at the cost of $150.00 plus tax. Only registered guests are permitted to visit or use the property.

Auto-Collect

At the time of booking, 50% of the reservation balance will be collected. Payment for all retail items and gift certificates will also be collected. Applies to all reservations.

Credit Card Security

Your credit card information is stored and processed securely.

May we leave at noon vs 11:00 AM?

Typically we need every available hour to prepare for our new guests arriving. During quieter seasons, it is more likely that we can accommodate this request.

Can we use the Hexagon House property during our stay?

The Hexagon House is a private property.

May we prepare meals in your kitchen?

The kitchen is for Innkeepers' use only, due to insurance reasons.

May we have local friends and family join us?

Please check with us first if we can accommodate this. Carriage House Bed & Breakfast guests are here to enjoy our historic home and our common areas need to be available for their use. Please contact the Innkeeper to discuss.

Are there refrigerators available for our use? May we bring coolers?

A refrigerator is available for all guests in The Carriage House.

May we bring our young children?

Carriage House Bed & Breakfast is an adult-only property but we are happy to discuss the possibility of older children of 16+ staying. Please contact the Innkeeper to discuss this before booking.

What is there to do in the Pentwater area?

There is much to do in the Pentwater-Silver Lake-Ludington region. The lakes offer all manner of water activities, the dunes are great for RV-ing, shopping, dining, and art galleries are prevalent. Pentwater beach is among the nicest in Michigan, and local golf courses are abundant. Please reach out to the Innkeeper for any help or questions.
